Pekin May Day
Come on down to the May Day Open Market downtown Pekin on Friday May 1st to visit us at our booth and support local artists, vendors and musicians. We are proud to a sponsor for this years event!

Wander through a charming open-air market filled with unique vendors, incredible handmade goods, crystals, candles, curiosities, herbs, books, and tarot. Enjoy live music all evening, grab a bite from a food truck, and explore offerings like tarot, astrology, and intuitive readings while you browse all the beautiful treasures waiting to be discovered.
Soak in the cozy glow of downtown lights, the lively festival atmosphere, and the magic of a small-town night market as the sun sets and the evening comes alive. This is a celebration of creativity, community, and fresh beginnings. Come wander, shop, eat, dance, explore, and soak in the good vibes. Perfect for date night, a friends’ night out, or a family stroll downtown. A festive evening in the heart of Downtown Pekin Free to attend and open to everyone!

Tremont Merchant's Night
Come out and support Tremont small businesses and the kickoff to the 2026 Turkey Festival.
About the event from the sponsors:
Tremont Merchant’s Day is when our Tremont merchants host fun activities inside or outside their businesses. Activities usually include three locations for lunch; free lemonade, water and popcorn; coffee, cookies and cupcakes for purchase. Local home party vendors also have outside booths. There is face painting and music.
Tremont Merchant’s Day falls on the Thursday evening of Turkey Festival week, running from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. The festivities are set up along Sampson St. and Rt 9.
2026 Day of Action
Join us for our 3rd Annual Day of Action. This year in addition to on site resume reviews and local career assistance resources we are inviting local employers to join us and help connect local talent with open positions!

Taste of Pekin
Come out and support Pekin Downtown and the Mainstreet Organization with their annual Taste of Pekin as part of the Marigold Festival week of events.

4th Annual PCHS Basketball Game Fundraiser
Come out and join us once again for our 4th Annual Fundraiser game at Pekin Community High School on January 27th. This year’s game will be versus Washington Community High School and we will once again be offering a “Putt for a Car” challenge thanks to Ray Dennison Chevrolet!
3rd Annual United Way/PCHS Basketball Fundraiser Game
Join us for our annual Pekin Community High School fundraiser game with at the boys basketball game vs. Morton High School. Come out and enjoy a great game, support the school and community while taking your chances at our 50/50 and raffle prizes to support our United Way mission. The game starts at 7pm so get there a little early and get your name in for those prizes and grab those tickets early!
Ghostly Games for Good 2024
Join us in the field between Broadway and the Ice Rink/4H Shelters on October 26th for a fun afternoon of Ghostly Games for Good.
Wear your Halloween costume and come out and place some fun yard games. Some are familiar favorites, others are inspired by Olympic challenges! Can you and a friend win the bone relay race?
One of the United Way of Pekin’s impact areas is Youth Opportunity. This event is to promote healthy lifestyles, social interaction and coming together for good. There may also be a few extra surprises in store so come out and join us and see what the games are all about!
