FY 2025-26 Grant Partners

A brighter financial future for all

Everyone deserves the opportunity to earn a living that can sustain a family and build security for future generations. That is unfortunately not a reality for some in our communities. We are committed to helping families achieve financial stability and improve access to opportunities that will have a positive effect on their economic well being. From funding partner programs working in various ways to our own initiatives we are addressing this issue multiple ways.

City of Pekin Financial Hardship by Household

Info provided by the 2025 ALICE Report

The United Way's ALICE (Assets Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) initiative is critical in understanding the financial challenges faced by a significant segment of the population that, despite being employed, struggles to meet basic needs. ALICE households earn above the Federal Poverty Level but below the basic cost of living, making them vulnerable to financial instability.

These annual reports provide invaluable data on the number of ALICE households, their demographic characteristics, and the economic pressures they face. This data is critical in our understanding of community needs, decision making and guiding our conversations to make positive change.
